Instructions:
Preheat your oven: Heat the oven to 355°F (180°C) and prepare a roasting pan with a rack to ensure the turkey cooks evenly.
Prepare the turkey: Pat the turkey dry with paper towels, ensuring the skin is moisture-free.
Seasoning mix: In a bowl, combine olive oil, butter, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, rosemary, and thyme. Rub this mixture all over the turkey, getting under the skin for extra flavor.
Stuff the cavity: Place the quartered onion, halved lemon, and garlic cloves inside to infuse the meat with aromatic flavors as it roasts.
Roasting process: Position the turkey breast-side up in the roasting pan. Pour the broth into the bottom of the pan to keep the turkey moist during cooking. Cover loosely with aluminum foil and roast for approximately 2-3 hours.
Final touches: Uncover the turkey for the last 30 minutes of cooking to achieve that perfect golden-brown skin. Ensure the internal temperature reaches 175°F (80°C) when checked in the thickest part of the thigh.
Let it rest: After removing the turkey from the oven, allow it to rest for about 20 minutes before carving. This step helps keep the juices inside, making the turkey tender and delicious.
